Happiness really is an attitude... a perspective if you must. Somedays are good and somedays aren't so good, but, it it is the way that you think about it that will make all the difference.
Being happy is up to you. Looking at the different things in life that brings you happiness is a great way to improve your mood.
For my 200th hub, I wanted to do something special. Therefore, I have come up with 200 different things that have either made people I know, or myself happy. I can't stress enough how happy my husband, my kids, my family, and my wonderful friends make me on a daily basis. However, in this list, I tried to spread out the joy and put other things in there that aren't always mentioned.

Very nicely stated hub. However, as I was reading it I realized that there were more things on your list that wouldn't make me happy regardless of what I did with my attitude, as you suggested in the beginning of the hub. Why? Because approximately 50-60% of the them didn't apply. But, I still voted it up. :)

This is absolutely wonderful!! The 200 ways, the happy pictures....and the BABIES...sooooooo precious. Baby Kisses are the BEST!! This was a perfect Hub to celebrate your 200th! and BTW CONGRATULATIONS!! 200 hubs is quite the accomplishment. Up & awesome!

This was absolutely wonderful! Some of your points were just fun and made me happy just thinking about how fun it was. I loved picking out which ones applied to me, and how often we take those things for granted! This greatly made me appreciate life in general and I can't wait to read it to Darrel! Also way congrats on the 200 hub! I've been watching that number climb and was waiting to see what you would do for the 200th hub! This is a beautiful list and a wonderful reminder that many of the things that make us happy cost nothing at all - we just have to take time to appreciate the good things in our lives. I remember when I was a young mother how happy I would be when the kids all took naps at the same time and I could settle down with a cup of coffee, a piece of chocolate and a good book for a quiet hour of bliss! Great hub!
this is a great list of the simplest things but when viewed in brighter perspective could bring us happiness

@Stephanie - YOu are so very right about that. The simple things in life are often what make us the happiest and they don't even have to cost a penny. The experiences are priceless. Oh yeah - and all kids sleeping at the same time - is worth every second of peace and quiet! :)

Glad this could make you smile and you could find some happiness in it. It is hard to believe with a list this long - there is ever a sad moment in life.

It was nice to ponder your hub and think about what makes me happy! As I’ve grown older, I’ve found happiness so much easier to find. I wonder if that’s always true? Your list is a reminder of what is really important. I really like the Falling gas prices though!:)

@Jangaplanet - It is never too late.. especially when it comes to something that makes you think of what makes you happy. I am glad the older you get the happier you become. I think part of it is the social pressures drop some and you have found out who you really are. If you like that person, happiness comes naturally. :)

So when you are at 1 wondering how in the world will you ever get that many ideas, soon, you are looking back realizing it is possible. I love that you included the idea of putting a smile on a child's face. I know that my son's giggle is contagious and can make me smile, even when I think there is no reason to be happy. Just hearing him giggle makes me want to laugh along.
